Dorridge
The clients sought a kitchen and living space that reflected the quiet luxury and refined functionality associated with SieMatic. They wanted the kitchen to sit comfortably within a large open-plan room, creating a seamless flow between cooking, dining and relaxation. Family seating, generous preparation areas and the ability to host guests with ease were central requirements.
A dedicated pantry, breakfast station and bar area were requested to support the rhythm of daily life and to keep the main kitchen clear of clutter. Additional storage and concealed preparation zones were essential to preserve a calm and elegant atmosphere.
Aesthetically, the clients asked for a contemporary yet warm scheme, with natural textures and subtle accents that would elevate the space. The interior needed to feel inviting for everyday use while retaining the sophistication expected of a premium kitchen.
To meet our clients’ aims, we designed a kitchen that anchors the entire open-plan space with a calm, architectural presence. The large island in Neolith Himalayan Crystal forms the centrepiece, offering abundant preparation space while creating a natural gathering point for family and guests. Its downturn edges and soft veining introduce a sense of quiet luxury that sets the tone for the room.
Finishes played a central role in shaping the atmosphere. SieMatic cabinetry in Hazel Oak veneer adds warmth, while the Gold Bronze Doors detailing gives a subtle lift and ties the scheme together. The glass cabinets with the matching fluted finish introduce texture and soften the visual weight of the tall units, creating a sophisticated backdrop to the island.
To complement the kitchen, we designed the adjoining living spaces with the same materials and architectural language, creating a consistent flow throughout the home. The bespoke bar area sits neatly within a recessed niche, using Gold Bronze detailing to echo the kitchen finishes.
Opposite the seating area, the media wall was developed as a fully integrated feature that balances modern technology with refined joinery. The design frames the television and linear fireplace within a composition of open shelving, concealed storage and warm ambient lighting. This approach allows the media wall to function as both a visual centrepiece and a practical everyday element without dominating the room.
