A First Look at the Future: Gaggenau Expressive Series

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Gaggenau flagship showroom on Wigmore Street in London, where we were given first-hand training on the remarkable new Gaggenau Expressive Series.

This was far more than a product introduction. It was a deep, immersive experience, allowing us to engage directly with the appliances, learn about the thinking behind the design, and see how form and function come together in a truly extraordinary way. We returned inspired, informed and ready to guide our clients through what is, in our view, one of Gaggenau’ s most refined product launches to date.

A new design language

The Expressive Series makes a powerful visual statement. Influenced by Bauhaus principles and modern architectural design, each appliance features strong, sculptural lines. Gaggenau describes it as “Two frames, one circle, a piece of art”, and after experiencing it in person, we completely agree.

Each appliance has a dual-frame design. The outer frame defines the boundary between the appliance and its kitchen surroundings, while the inner frame houses the distinctive passepartout – brushed Gaggenau stainless steel behind smoked glass. The result is a precise and elegant composition that feels more like a curated object than a domestic appliance.

This sense of control continues across the range. The materials, proportions, and alignment are consistent, whether the appliances are installed side by side or stacked vertically. This unified approach to design is what sets the Expressive Series apart.

We’ve seen it in action

At the showroom, we explored the full collection hands-on. The oven interface lights up as you approach, and the floating stainless steel control ring responds with subtle haptic feedback. These small interactions bring a surprising sense of enjoyment to everyday tasks.

The ovens offer guided automatic programmes, intelligent heat distribution, and a three-point core temperature probe. The powerful bottom heat can raise the baking stone to 300°C, while the pyrolytic cleaning system, enhanced by a heated catalytic converter, keeps the kitchen fresh.

The combi-steam oven combines humidity, convection and an integrated grill to cover a wide culinary repertoire, from crusty loaves and sous-vide to regenerating leftovers. Cleaning is simple with the automatic programme and cartridge system.

We also explored the fully automatic coffee machine, which allows you to customise each cup with professional precision. You can save up to ten user profiles, each with ten favourite drinks. The machine adjusts the grind and other settings automatically based on your input and keeps itself clean and descaled with minimal effort.

Other highlights include the vacuum drawer, perfect for sous-vide, marinating or preserving food and wine, and the combi microwave oven, which pairs traditional cooking methods with the speed of microwave technology. The warming drawer completes the range, offering low-temperature cooking or crockery warming across six heat levels.

Coming soon to our showroom

We are excited to share that the Gaggenau Expressive Series will soon be available to experience in our own showroom. Clients will be able to interact with the appliances directly and see how this exceptional range could transform their kitchen.

In the meantime, we would be happy to arrange a visit to the Gaggenau showroom on Wigmore Street, where the full collection is already on display in a live environment. It is the ideal way to experience the quality and detail up close.

Why these matters

The Gaggenau Expressive Series is not just about owning the latest appliance. It is about making a considered choice to invest in enduring design, expert engineering and effortless performance.

We have seen the range in action, we have trained with the experts behind it, and we are ready to help our clients understand what makes this collection truly special. Whether you are planning a complete kitchen or upgrading selected appliances, this is a series worth discovering.
